💀 bungo stray dogs

Bungo Stray Dogs follows the members of the Armed Detective Agency as they try to protect Yokohama from organizations such as the Port Mafia. The story mainly focuses on the weretiger Atsushi Nakajima, who joins others gifted with supernatural powers to accomplish different tasks including solving mysteries and carrying out missions assigned by the agency. Also pretty much every character is named after literary authors or a reference to some work and every ability is a reference to a connected work for the author-named character who has said ability. For example, Osamu Dazai wrote the book "No Longer Human" which is where Dazai's ability name comes from.

💀 personality & background

personality: Dazai is a series of masks and lies so the answer to this is "a mess actually" but for the most part the side he shows people will be joking and light-hearted and foolish and cheerfully determined to die. At this age he also flips between manic and scary blank and dangerous so have fun with that. Other aspects or masks may come to the front in certain situations and those who somehow manage to get close to him will see things other people don't...sometimes. Occasionally. Maybe. He's incredibly intelligent and manipulative and the moral lines he draws in the sand are more intellectually understood than fully emotionally felt but it's fine, probably!

background: His past is as canonically mysterious as his personality. Dazai attempted suicide at the age of fourteen and was picked up by Mori Ougai, mafia doctor. He then became an accomplice by witness of the murder of the previous Port Mafia boss and joined up. He went on to do lots of Crime and Murder for the next three or four years (during which time he was responsible for a solid half of the profits of the entire mafia).

abilities: Dazai is Decent at hand-to-hand combat and firearms and has no issues with murder at these canon points. His most notable ability is No Longer Human which nullifies the special abilities/powers of anyone who touches him. If an ability comes from an object or is focused on one he can nullify it by touching the object. His ability is always active and can transfer through his clothes as well as his skin.
